After eight years (yes eight) the second volume of the Hobilar Archive is on it's way to the printers. As before this will be a data CD in a full colour wrap around card wallet for £12.00 plus delivery. The CD contains issues 51 to 100 of Hobilar and should be available on 25 April 2020.
My roles, as archivist, has been to manage the project (part time), prepare the digital content and produce the various indices via a purpose built database. Here's an example output from the indexing.
First published in August 1991, Hobilar, the journal of the Lance & Longbow Society, features articles on medieval warfare from the early 11th century to the early sixteenth century, as well as many flags and banners of the period. To preserve the wealth of information and detail presented in Hobilar over the years the issues have, where necessary, been scanned, lovingly restored, and converted to pdf format.
To reserve a copy please use the mail form below or you can order now using the books page at my Waving Flag blog.
I am handling all general sales until the end of this year and society discounts do not apply to this item. Members of the Lance & Longbow Society (LALS) are advised to buy their copy from the LALS web shop.
